I've been painting a lot recently. Partially because we had a paint night at my house for one of my lovely roommates birthdays, and the other partially is because I have a bunch of canvases left over from various projects and back in the day when I was in school.

When we had a few ladies over to our house to paint I kind of had an idea in mind for a painting, and once I started...I almost couldn't stop. I think we were up till 1 am...or something ridiculous like that. I'm not a stay up super late kind of person, so it was mildly monumental, I guess. The point is, I've been painting a lot since then. I guess I have a lot to get out of my system, and it's been a really cathartic and much needed relaxing activity.

I know that right now is a little pivotal for me creatively and I also know that not every single thing I've painted as of late is a complete show stopper (I mean none of them are really...) I just need to keep making things. The funny thing is the more I paint the more I get excited to paint, and the more I start to kind of like my paintings as rough as some of them are at the moment. For example I know I'm not going to have a chance to get home and make something before I go to bed, and I'm actually kind of bummed about that.
